International Business Exchange (IBEX) successfully brokered the sale of the business Signature Nurses, Inc. in Phillipsburg, Kansas on June 17th, 2016 to private individuals. IBEX acted as the merger and acquisition advisor to the deal, helping the business owner list, market, wade through buyers, due diligence and close the deal. Signature Nurses, Inc. (Company) is a full-service nurse staffing company with a network of nursing professionals for critical, acute and long-term care to rural hospitals and nursing homes in western Kansas and Nebraska. A key aspect of the business model of the Company is that the operation of the business is totally portable, with current management and administration being done exclusively from remote locations. Company was founded in 2001 in Phillipsburg, Kansas to provide an urgent need for temporary medical staffing (RN, LPN, CMA and CNA) for short and long-term staff placement in rural Kansas hospitals that meet Medicare’s requirements for “critical access” facilities and nursing homes. These healthcare facilities typically operate on short staffing due to labor costs and shortages, and must rely on outside placement to cover single shifts and to fill gaps in their staffing schedules. Company has established long-term relationships with the providers in their market, and has contracts in place with many of their clients for over 14 years. Company is on their clients’ short-lists for immediate staffing because they can rapidly respond to requests with qualified staffing that not only meets the needs of the client but also the goals of their staff for flexibility in scheduling for part-time or full-time placement. This has enabled the Company to retain and consistently place quality staff in rural areas where there are critical shortages for healthcare professionals.
