International Business Exchange (IBEX) successfully brokered the sale of the business Paragon Pipe & Fence Supply. on December 13th, 2013 to a undisclosed corporation. IBEX acted as the merger and acquisition advisor to the deal, helping the business owner list, market, wade through buyers, due diligence and a close the deal. The Company operations are at their primary Houston, TX office and warehouse facility, which is the hub by which the Company operates within the two state area. This facility supplies the other three locations with the majority of their inventory needs. The Houston location also has a product manufacturing line for woven chain link fencing materials and is one of four companies nationwide that offer this manufactured product line of chain link fencing. The operations for all of the Companies’ payables and receivables and other day to day business activity are conducted from this location as all administrative functions are maintained through this office with the staff personnel located in this Houston office. All purchasing and coordination of inventory is controlled through this office. The Company maintains company wide, an average inventory year round of approximately $3MM. This level of inventory is reduced at the end of the calendar year for tax purposes, but is built back immediately with material that is pending shipment the first part of each year to build back the level of inventory needed to maintain their spring level of activity. The inventory is purchased in volume at the mill supply level taking advantage of the reduced material cost, while qualifying for wholesale product pricing. The direct mill purchases of material are wood products, steel tubular products, fencing fittings and accessories. The manufactured products consist of chain link fencing products. The Company owns two chain link weaving machines that are located inside the primary Houston location. The Company acquired these machines two years ago. The product is sold to other wholesalers of fence materials. The wire for weaving chain link is acquired direct from Indiana Wire at the mill level. Additional manufactured products consist of customer metal gates and metal fencing. This is supplied through a contracted fabricator and custom built to the customer specifications. The Company has maintained a major strength over the last eight years consisting of their customer service to supply quality products on a as required basis. This has allowed the Company to maintain their strong customer relationships of continued repeat customer base. In addition, the Company has a great relationship with their suppliers for paying on time and the repeat business relationship over the years.
