International Business Exchange (IBEX) successfully brokered the sale of the business Chrome Machine & Castings, Inc. on January 12th, 2015 to a undisclosed corporation. IBEX acted as the merger and acquisition advisor to the deal, helping the business owner list, market, wade through buyers, due diligence and a close the deal. The Company is a service company in the oil and gas energy sector that repairs and rebuilds gas engines and compressors. The Company repairs and remanufactures engine and compressor parts with their ability to machine parts from raw material for difficult and hard to find parts. The Company works with all types for metals and has a large inventory of tooling to perform these services. The Company’s key operation entails machining centers to machine key components used to repair and rebuild gas engines and compressors. The entire operation is built around these machine centers with experienced machinists that have over 25 years of service in machining parts for gasoline engines and compressors. With the Company’s job shop machining ability, there are all types of parts that are produced on demand by the Company. The Company has built its reputation on manufacturing these key component parts and is a reliable source for quality to the manufacturer’s engine specification. The Company also has the ability to weld with the fusion process cast iron. The welding services include all metals from A-36 carbon steel to all alloys, stainless and aluminum. The Company is also called to plant sites in its territory to perform in-plant welding repairs. The Company maintains a large inventory of parts and tooling that is off-balance sheet as the Company has expensed this inventory when they purchased materials. The Company repairs all gas engines up to and including 700 hp. These engines are brought to the plant and are disassembled in house, repaired and reinstalled in the field. The Company operates a field service organization that is available on call. The Company performs in-house plant service repair for major refineries in the area, such as Conoco/Phillips and Valero. This service work is performed on Blanket Contracts with each of the companies. The Company has a very talented, experienced employee base of machinists. These machinists have 25 to 35 years of service operating machine centers with all types of metals. The Company’s primary focus is machining parts for engines and compressors, but the shop could expand to other parts outside of the engine components. The Company also makes engine components parts for Endyn Company for resale of engine parts.
